Sound Bath Breathing Meditation

This 33-minute sound bath meditation features gongs, binaural beats in the theta brainwave pattern, and a slow shamanic drumbeat for breathing in a coherent pattern. If you breathe in and out for 4 drumbeats each you will be breathing at a 5.5 breath per minute rhythm. This breath pattern, known as coherent breathing, can help reduce anxiety and stress and improve relaxation and HRV (heart rate variability). If you wish to breathe slower, a 5 drumbeat in and out pattern will bring you to 4.4 breaths per minute, which is excellent before sleep.

All recordings are played by Jamie Bechtold, one of the first sound bath players in Los Angeles. Jamie has been playing sound baths with gongs and crystal singing bowls since 2004 and has played thousands of public events. She opened The Soundbath Center in 2015 as the first venue in Los Angeles dedicated solely to sound bath events and practitioner trainings.

HOW TO LISTEN

*Listen with headphones.

*Sit comfortably and close your eyes.

*Breathe in and out for 4 drumbeats each for a 5.5 breath per minute rhythm, or 5 drumbeats for a 4.4 breath per minute pattern.

Do not listen to in situations requiring alertness, such as driving.
